Doc Silence: the Cost of Magic

It's finally here: the story of Doc Silence. This is the book I've wanted to write for so long - Doc's origin, his beginnings as a magician, and the weird, wondrous, horrific things that turned him into the man who would eventually bring the Indestructibles together.

Now available in paperback and Kindle. No prior reading of the Indestructibles is required - my hope for this book is that it enhances the series for folks who have followed the Indestructibles all along, but stands alone on its own for new readers or anyone who hasn't finished the first series.

It's my most personal book, and it means a lot to me. I hope you'll give it a shot.

Hope you enjoy the story! I've been waiting for the perfect time to tell Doc's origin. Felt like now was the right time to make it happen.

This book was top on my bucket list to get written. I hope it lives up to expectations. (I'm so proud of how it turns out... means a lot to me.)

Just finished it and excellent work. Thank you for a wonderful story.

Just a side note. You might want to consider updating your page a little more often. I had almost given up on seeing more from you because this page went over two years (I think) without an update.

Great suggestion. I'm actually going to start updating the site more - it doesn't get a ton of traffic (I'm online every day on Twitter like a lot of authors these days, but Twitter is inherently stressful and the blog isn't).

Hilariously, the reason it took me a week to respond to you here is because right after you posted I went to create a redirect from my old website to here and I broke my entire site for a week! Just getting back up and running now. Sorry about the slow response!

I saw that the site was down and wondered it I had made you mad with my comment :).

Seriously though I am an oldish guy and am not on twitter. I probably should be but just can't make myself care about twitter and all the other short form modern alternatives. I am on Facebook and checked your profile there once or twice but didn't see much about your books there. I am trying to minimize my activity on Facebook since all of the revelations about it this year.

Anyway I look forward to more books from you. Good luck and best wishes.

I honestly did have the thought "Of COURSE I broke my own website before I could respond, hope he's not offended..."

I keep FB pages just because I want the link but I'm with you on that one, not a great place to be these days. Twitter is a stressful necessity for writers. Definitely taking your suggestion to heart about using this space more, because you're absolutely right.

Thanks again for all the support. It was a long hiatus between books (the pandemic kicked my butt mentally) so I appreciate you sticking with me!
